Ensure the accuracy of CoinTracker's US tax engine and blog posts.

Your one-year outcomes
  • US tax calculations are 99.9% accurate.

  • 100+ tax articles reviewed from tax SME POV.

What you will do
  • Audit CoinTracker tax engine and identify bugs.

  • Write and/or review technical tax articles.

What we look forQualifications
  • An active US-based CPA and/or a tax attorney

  • 5+ years experience in preparing and reviewing individual tax returns

Role-specific
  • Tax fundamentals

    • Knowledge about relevant code sections, regulations, guidance, and court cases related to crypto taxes

    • Ability to properly do tax research and evaluate tax positions for ambiguous transactions

    • Know the mechanics of filing individual and business tax returns

    • Up-to-date knowledge about what’s happening in the crypto industry and how it’s impacting taxpayers and CoinTracker’s business (e.g. broker regs)

  • Crypto savvy

    • Cryptocurrency user

    • Understands transactions beyond simple buying & selling (mining, staking, lending, DeFi & NFTs)

The starting salary for this position is between $130,000 - $160,000. The actual compensation offered will be based on a variety of job-related factors including relevant skills, education, and experience. This position also includes equity in CoinTracker and benefits like medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, and PTO.
