The Credit Bureau Reporting Analyst is responsible for executing credit bureau reporting and dispute handling processes, for maintaining the Credit Bureau Reporting website, managing, and organizing consumer disputes.
** Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. CST **
Essential Functions
Responsible for the thorough and reasonable investigation of credit disputes received through the e-Oscar system
Collaborate with internal departments to resolve customers’ concerns/disputes on credit reports
Assist with the validation of Metro2 credit reporting files prior to their transmission to the Credit Reporting Agencies
Track and investigate customer disputes received through a variety of sources.
Assist in running daily reports
Required Education and Experience
Associate’s degree in related field, or commensurate work experience required
5 years of related work experience required
Financial industry experience preferred
Experience servicing and reviewing customer loan accounts
Experience and knowledge of CDIA Guidelines (Consumer Credit Reporting Guidelines)
FCRA, credit dispute and credit reporting experience
In-depth knowledge of consumer lending industry standards and regulations
Familiarity with the e-Oscar system
Attention to detail and accuracy required
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
Proficient in the utilization of Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to thrive in a fast paced work environment
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, visualize, talk, hear, and handle or touch objects or controls. The employee may occasionally lift, push, or pull up to 20 pounds.
This position is an office-based position where you must be able to sit for long periods of time. The employee will be working on a computer 90% of the time.
