The Credit Analyst evaluates creditworthiness of individuals and businesses through financial data analysis, credit reports, and monitoring accounts to minimize financial risks and support credit decisions.
Credit Analyst is responsible for evaluating the creditworthiness of individuals or businesses by analyzing financial data, credit reports, and economic trends. Their primary role is to assess risk and make recommendations on credit line decisions. Credit Analysts review credit reports, monitor existing accounts, and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. They play a key role in minimizing financial risk and supporting sound credit decisions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Processes credit applications; provides appropriate terms and credit limits
- Reviews of customer lists for new agents
- Monitors all accounts and proactively initiates credit limit reviews
- Communicates the status of account problems on a regular basis
- Creates Certificates of Insurances
- Completes New Vendor Setup forms
- Completes credit reference checks for new customers and high-risk existing buyers
- Maintains credit history files; reviews and approves credit limits; responds to credit inquiries
- Assists with related special projects as required
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent, one to two years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Demonstrated ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages

- Ability to prepare reports and business correspondence
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
