Job Description:

Penn Mutual is looking for a Creative Services Intern focused on traditional design. This is a full-time, 11-week summer internship, fully remote, and paid. You will gain valuable experience in the planning, production, and execution of graphic design and marketing projects for Penn Mutual and select entities – and have the following opportunities:

  • Real world application of graphic design and design principles
  • Participation in team and department processes, meetings, and communications
  • Advanced training in multiple technical platforms
  • Mentoring program
  • Opportunities to develop formal and informal presentation skills
  • Participation in full company internship events including information sessions and networking

**Candidate Note: Applicants should be prepared to provide a portfolio or work samples during the interview process that reflect their experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs graphic design (print and digital) and marketing tasks at appropriate skill levels
  • Maintains organized files – including proper team server protocols, categorizes digital assets, and project notes and communications
  • Integrates into collaborative team process, including the sharing of thoughts and opinions on design and multimedia solutions
  • Active team member accountable for working towards shared goals and objectives

Skills:

  • Proven understanding of design theories – including color, layout and composition, and typography
  • Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite are required
  • Strong communicator in both written and verbal context
  • Ability to plan and prioritize work towards the achievement of personal and corporate objectives
  • Ability to make a positive contribution as demonstrated by learning new skills and making suggestions for process/procedure improvement
  • Ability to work with others in a collaborative team environment

Required Experience:

  • Working towards a degree in graphic design or related discipline. Marketing coursework is a plus. Previous corporate or studio work experience is a plus.

Hourly rate: $20-25
