The Creative Operations Finance Coordinator is a cross-functional role that supports the financial health and efficiency of the Creative department. This individual will manage budgeting, forecasting, invoicing, and vendor coordination. The ideal candidate combines financial acumen with an understanding of creative workflows and thrives in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assist with day-to-day financial operations for the Creative department, including invoice processing, budget tracking, and reconciliation.
- Partner with Finance and Accounting to support monthly close, variance analysis, and forecasting.
- Maintain accurate records of project budgets, vendor contracts, and payment schedules.
- Prepare financial reports and dashboards for creative leadership, highlighting key metrics and trends.
- Support quarterly and annual budget planning cycles, aligning with departmental goals.
- Collaborate with Creative Project Managers and Production team to align financial tracking with project and shoot deliverables.
- Monitor resource allocation across campaigns and ensure financial data reflects actual usage.
- Assist in the development of financial models for new creative initiatives, including cost-benefit analyses.
- Maintain and improve financial tracking systems and software.
- Identify opportunities to streamline creative workflows and improve financial reporting accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and external regulations.
- Serve as liaison between Creative, Finance, and Procurement teams.
- Assist with onboarding of new vendors and freelancers, ensuring proper documentation and setup.
COMPETENCIES:
- Proven track record leading quantitative analysis and building financial models
- Excellent organizational skills; ability to manage multiple projects at once, follow through and meet deadlines
- Highly motivated with positive, entrepreneurial spirit and ability to wear many hats as the Accounting and Finance functions evolve
- Experience with presentations to senior management, with extraordinary detail orientation
- Ability to navigate a highly cross-functional organization and create a culture of collaboration with stakeholders across the company
- Understanding of creative production and project workflows
DESIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in financial coordination or accounts payable, preferably within a creative or marketing environment.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and financial software
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
