This position is employed by Airbnb Inc., however the role will provide direct support to Airbnb.org, an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit that focuses on emergency response and provides temporary housing for people in times of crisis. Airbnb.org is governed by an independent Board of Directors and its mission is to unlock the power of sharing space, resources, and support in times of need. From Australia to France, hosts have opened up their homes and helped provide accommodations to over 200,000 people. The Difference You Will Make:

The Creative Lead, Design will play a critical role in building the brand strategy and executing all the branding and marketing efforts across Airbnb.org. You will be responsible for designing campaigns and programs to help drive increased awareness, growth and loyalty and retention among our existing donors. You will also work collaboratively with cross-functional teams such as marcomms, product, operations, PR/communications, growth marketing, host community, legal, and more to bring your designs to life. 

Additionally, you are detail-oriented, a creative that has design focused story-telling, and an expert communicator both visually and orally. 

A typical day:

  • Hands-on execution of world-class design—from strategy and concept to point and pixel perfect artwork. Contributes to large scale, strategic initiatives spanning multiple teams. Shapes long term vision and defines short term goals and deliverables. , 
  • Championing and executing the craft of design and visual storytelling, and elevating it across the Airbnb.org organization. 
  • Responsible for all brand representation across the organizations–this includes, but is not limited to creating new brands and evolving the existing one.
  • Partner with Brand and Campaign Creative to ensure the brand’s creative direction and voice is consistent across all touchpoints. 
  • Collaborate with various departments, producers, program managers, photographers and illustrators to achieve the finished product on time and on budget.
  • Support external creative and production agencies to execute work that is of the highest quality and consistency. 
  • Champion Airbnb’s mission of connection and belonging at every step. Be a guardian for Airbnb’s values of inclusivity, diversity, and acceptance. 

Your expertise:

  • 10+ years experience overall within a creative agency or in-house at a leading brand.
  • A diverse portfolio of interactive and innovative communications work.
  • A passion for the craft of their discipline, and for being hands-on with teams and the work.
  • Strong presentation skills, with an ability to convey complex concepts in compellingly simple terms.
  • Skilled in multitasking to manage a high volume of creativity and content.
  • A willingness to collaborate and debate with strong creative thinkers, at all levels, in all corners of the company—from junior creatives to business leads to the Executive Director.
  • Strategic + Systems based thinking – your work is built upon insights and systems, not simply creative whims.
  • Experience with visual design, copywriting, art direction, motion graphics and interactive.

This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager. How We'll Take Care of You:

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.  

Pay Range

$176,000$215,000 USD
