Collectively’s Creative arm develops ambitious creative concepts and collaborates with the world’s best social media creators to bring those ideas to life across digital platforms. They partner closely with the Client Partnerships team to align creativity with content trends and cultural insights and to ensure that brand voice and aesthetic standards shine through in creator-centered content. As the influencer and content creator space continues to grow and evolve, the Creative team stays close to the action—tracking the trends, must-know talent and experimental formats that can take our industry to the next level.

Responsibilities

The Freelance Creative Lead helps set the standard for creative at Collectively, owning creative ideation and partnering closely with cross-functional team members to dream up creative ideas and campaign concepts that center on social media content creators, activating their unique skill sets and audiences in unexpected ways. They’re tasked with leading the process for ideation and creative direction for all social formats and platforms.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Actively participate in briefings, providing Creative leadership perspective
  • Develop content and campaign concepts for multiple social media channels and content formats across core + emergent platforms
  • Support narrative, design and image selection for high-impact presentation decks and other materials
Requirements
  • At least 8 years related experience on creative teams at marketing/advertising agencies or in-house at brands—social-first is a plus
  • Supportive, people-first approach to management and creative feedback delivery
  • Strong professional network of creative talent—art direction/design, copywriting, editing, animation, etc.—is a plus
  • Relentless curiosity and demonstrated expertise in social media and creators/influencers, across established and emerging platforms 
  • Passion for pop culture and keeping up with emerging social, political, and aesthetic trends 
  • Expertise in delivering high-impact content for social, across platforms and formats
  • Proven ability to ideate quickly and develop multiple concepts
  • Strong aesthetic POV and ability to quickly understand brand voice and identity
  • Great communication skills, with the ability to both provide and receive creative feedback and land a compelling pitch—both internally among colleagues and externally with clients and creators
  • Ability to work efficiently across a variety of assignments and manage time appropriately 
  • Collaborative working style with positive attitude and enthusiasm for making great work happen!
