About the Role

The Corporate Meetings & Events Manager owns internal meeting and event execution at Steno. This is a ground-floor opportunity to establish how Steno plans, sources, and executes internal programs at scale, with direct visibility to senior leadership across the company. Reporting to the Director of Field Marketing, this role sits within the Field Marketing team — you'll own your own portfolio of high-impact internal programs while drawing on the infrastructure and event expertise of an established team, and working alongside the team's external event portfolio during lower-volume periods.

This role does not own attendee engagement strategy, HR programming, internal communications content, event objectives or business outcomes, or ad hoc reservation and logistics requests that lack strategic scale.

You're Gonna Crush It If

  • You have 6+ years of experience in corporate meetings, internal events, or conference planning.
  • You have end-to-end experience managing complex meetings and events — from sourcing through onsite execution.
  • You have deep expertise negotiating hotel and venue contracts: room blocks, attrition, cancellation, F&B minimums, AV, concessions, and service charges.
  • You bring strong financial acumen: budgeting, forecasting, invoice review, and reconciliation.
  • You've managed multiple concurrent programs across competing timelines, stakeholders, and budgets.
  • You have experience building preferred supplier networks or master service agreements.
  • You have exceptional project management skills and attention to detail.
  • You can influence senior stakeholders and push back when scope or risk warrants it.
  • You're calm and solutions-oriented under pressure, and willing to travel and support events onsite.
  • You are willing and comfortable traveling 50% of the time.
