Rimini Street is seeking an exceptional, multidisciplinary leader with a unique talent in organizing, planning and delivering an extraordinary global events program and experience, working with senior executives to transform concepts into brilliant content and assets. With a growing number of corporate and field-led events across the world, this role is integral to the success of our company vision, delivering memorable, high impact events and amplifying our message through in-person and online activities.  

This is a remote position, however, if you are located within 50 miles of one of Rimini Street’s corporate offices, this position allows for a hybrid work option.  

Position Summary 

As the Director of Corporate Events Strategy, Program and Content, you bring together brand experience, executive messaging, client engagement, community expansion and content creation, resulting in powerful in-person and online events executed by regional and corporate teams. Taking Rimini Street’s already successful events to new heights, this role focuses on 1) overseeing the corporate events program 2) ensuring the brand experience is seamlessly executed throughout its entirety, and 3) planning and developing speaker materials in partnership with senior executives such as our CEO, CIO, CTOs, CMO, Industry Solutions leaders, as well as our Regional GMs and clients.  

Qualified candidates must have a remarkable talent for taking complex concepts and translating it into easy-to-understand visuals, effectively telling Rimini Street’s story of differentiated services, products and solutions that bring extraordinary value to the market and solves complex business challenges. The successful candidate should be proactive, adaptable, and comfortable in a high-pressure environment. 

Strong skills in communication, organization and precision are a must.  

This position reports directly to the VP of Global Brand, Content and Communications, who also oversees Corporate Events and Web Strategy. Travel within the US and globally is expected. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

  • In collaboration with cross-functional teams, develop the next-generation strategy for Rimini Street events that support company growth and awareness goals  
  • Build a comprehensive in-person and virtual events plan 
  • Maintain the global calendar as well as the executive and speaker assignment for each event  
  • Partner with C-suites, GMs, field leaders and clients in coordinating and creating of presentations for events 
  • Implement and drive adoption of global event execution best practices  
  • Define and deliver proactive program improvements across all events, including pre-show planning, onsite execution, and post-show activities 
  • Collaborate with field leaders and marketing team members to support execution of events including outreach, promotion and onsite management as needed   
  • Develop ROI reports, metrics, and analysis to determine effectiveness of events  
  • Oversee event enablement tools including templates, process document and check list 
  • Organize, store and deliver event photos, videos, survey results and other relevant materials to various teams for the purposes of blogs, social media, client storytelling, promotion, etc.  
  • Ensure brand consistency and quality experience across all corporate-led events  

Additional Duties and Responsibilities  

  • Participate in and lead learning opportunities for messaging development  
  • Oversee special projects in relation to Global Events, participating in meetings and special events as needed 
  • Oversee contract legal review and approval process as needed 

Education 

  •  Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field

Experience 

  • 10+ years of high-tech global marketing and events management and operations, including ownership of strategy, planning, content, growth, and successful execution of global, corporate events.  

Qualifications and Skills  

  • Proven record of event marketing and leadership 
  • Strong communication skills (written, verbal, nonverbal, visual, listening) 
  • Takes complex concepts and reformat them into simple, easy-to-consume content in the form of visuals and words  
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; experience developing strong working relationships with internal partners, clients, partners and third-party vendors 
  • Exceptional program, project, and time management skills. Highly organized and efficient 
  • Out-of-the-box, big thinker with fresh ideas that build the Rimini Street brand 
  • Critical thinker that can connect the dots  
  • Highly detail-oriented  
  • Ability to establish and operationalize events best practices 
  • Metrics driven with a strong emphasis on calculating event ROI 
  • Brings calmness and order to urgent situations, and adding positivity and delight to all parts of the events lifecycle   
  • Must be highly proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, and proficient in Word, Excel, SharePoint, Teams and the suite of Adobe Creative   
  • Experience with latest event technology and tools such as ON24, Smartsheet, Survey Alchemer

Compensation is based on role, location, and level of applicable experience. 

Rimini’s target pay for each position is available upon request during the applicant’s Interview process.

The general salary range for this type of role is 100k - 170k depending on skills and experience.
