Key Responsibilities

  • Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate various agreements (licensing, services, marketing).
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to laws (privacy, health, corporate) and develop compliance programs.

Corporate Governance: Advise on board matters, policies, and ethical conduct.Risk Management: Identify and mitigate legal risks across the organization.Litigation: Manage disputes, overseeing external counsel as needed.Transactional Support: Assist with M&A, due diligence, and other corporate transactions.Intellectual Property: Handle IP matters like patents, trademarks, and copyrights.Business Counseling: Provide legal guidance to senior management and other departments. 

Essential Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: Law degree (J.D.) and bar admission.
  • Experience: Background in business law, transactions, or specific industry.
  • Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and communication (written/verbal).
  • Attributes: High ethical standards, good judgment, ability to handle ambiguity, proactive, business-minded. 

Role Context

  • Acts as an internal advisor, representing the organization, not individuals.
  • Supports strategic growth while protecting the company legally.
  • Often works closely with senior leadership, finance, and other departments.
