OUR  MISSION

Imagine building a better healthcare journey for patients with cancer, where individuals and their loved ones feel seen, supported, and heard by their care team – both in and out of the clinic. Where fast access to high-quality care is the norm, not the exception. Where patients have access to a care navigator to guide them through their diagnosis and trusted support all along the way.

At Thyme Care, we share a passion for transforming the cancer care experience – not just for patients but also for their caregivers and loved ones, as well as those delivering and paying for their care. Today, Thyme Care is known predominantly as a cancer care navigation company enabling value-based cancer care; in the next few years, we will become a nationally recognized technology-driven and provider-centric care delivery model, reshaping the landscape of cancer care access, delivery, and experience. Our commitment runs deep—we're not satisfied with the status quo but determined to redefine it.

To make this happen, we’re building a diverse team of problem solvers and critical thinkers to drive innovation and shape the future of healthcare. If you share our vision and want to be part of something truly meaningful, we want to hear from you. Together, we can revolutionize cancer care and make a difference that lasts a lifetime.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

As our first Corporate Communications Manager at Thyme Care, you'll play a pivotal role in unifying our internal and external communications during a period of significant growth and transformation. We need a strategic communicator who can ensure our internal narrative matches our external success story and that our messaging is clear, consistent, and compelling across all of our key stakeholders. This role is built for someone who’s equal parts creative problem-solver and process-driven thinker, who gets excited about architecting how information flows through our scaling organization, influencing and engaging our workforce, strengthening our company culture, and turning effective communication into a competitive advantage.

In this role, you have the opportunity to build our internal communications strategy from the ground up. You will work closely with senior leadership and department heads to ensure that all employees are informed, engaged, and aligned with the company's strategic priorities. This is a strategic execution role where your communication expertise will directly influence the company's culture, growth, and ability to scale.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Internal Communications Strategy & Execution: Craft and execute a comprehensive internal communications strategy that ensures all employees are informed, aligned, and engaged. Develop targeted messaging tailored to different domains, locations, and levels within the organization, driving clear, consistent communication across various channels. Proactively manage key communication events such as all-hands meetings, town halls, Q&As, and newsletters.
  • Executive & Corporate Development Communications: Expand the reach of key insights from leadership discussions to inspire and engage employees.
  •  Develop strategies for effective leadership-to-employee communication and engagement. Craft and manage communications around strategic planning processes and prepare for company-wide gatherings.
  • Communications Infrastructure: Enhance the employee experience by optimizing internal communications infrastructure—leveraging newsletters, company intranet, and other platforms to drive alignment and clarity. Audit and consolidate company communications across channels and develop best practices for sharing company news, celebrations, and milestones.
  • Employee Engagement & Culture: Make employees a key amplification audience for milestone announcements, support the People Team on engagement surveys, developing materials for company-wide gatherings (e.g., retreats, all hands, etc), and collaborating to create new, fun ways to engage employees.
  • Metrics & Continuous Improvement: Use analytics and employee feedback to evaluate the effectiveness of communication efforts and identify opportunities for improvement. Analyze engagement survey results to inform communication strategies. Create playbooks, set up systems to measure communication effectiveness, and ensure messaging remains consistent as we scale.

WHAT YOU’VE DONE

  • You have 5+ years of experience in internal communications or corporate communications in a high-growth startup environment with a proven track record of success.
  • You have experience working with cross-functional teams to bring communication initiatives to life through newsletters, intranet platforms, social media, and more.
  • You have exceptional spoken and written communication skills and strong business acumen, with a talent for creating messages that resonate and motivate across different levels of the company and across various communication channels.
  • You’re adept at managing multiple projects, balancing competing deadlines, and working within a project management system to track progress and ensure timely delivery.
  • You’ve worked in environments that have allowed you to flex your high emotional intelligence (EQ) and relationship-building skills, and know how to quickly establish trust, navigate diverse teams, and influence across all levels of the organization.

Nice to have:

  • Experience in the digital health / health-tech sector
  • Experience managing internal communications across corporate and healthcare/care team employees
  • Based in Nashville, TN

WHAT LEADS TO SUCCESS

  • Internal communications experience. You have a proven track record in internal communications, with experience developing and implementing strategic communication plans that drive employee engagement and organizational alignment. You understand the nuances of different communication channels and can craft messages that resonate across diverse audiences.
  • Stakeholder influence and partnership. You excel at building relationships and influencing key stakeholders across all levels of the organization. You can navigate complex organizational dynamics, gain buy-in for communication initiatives, and partner effectively with executives and department heads to ensure messages are aligned with business goals.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity. You have a proven track record of success in fast-paced environments and startups. You understand that rapid changes to the business, strategy, organization, and priorities are par for the course, and you excel at making the complex clear for others.
  • Communication expertise. You have a deep understanding of communication principles and how they apply in a startup setting. You can translate complex ideas into clear, compelling messages that drive understanding and action across multiple stakeholders.
  • Attention to Detail: You have a meticulous eye for detail, catching inconsistencies in grammar, style, and tone before they go live.
  • Collaborative Spirit: You work seamlessly with leadership and department heads, integrating feedback into your work and communicating appropriately across the organization.
