The Industrials Corporate Banking Associate position will be responsible for supporting the underwriting and portfolio management of a broad range of corporate and investment banking solutions to a diverse group of companies in the Industrials portfolio. The role will partner with the Portfolio Manager, Relationship Manager, Industry Coverage and Risk Management to support the execution of credit related functions.
This role will also support Corporate Banking Relationship Managers who are responsible for developing and maintaining strategic relationships with a broad range of corporate clients and delivering the full platform of Wells Fargo's capabilities including Debt & Equity Capital Markets, Leveraged Finance, M&A related Acquisition Finance, Treasury Management, Macro solutions, Global Receivables & Trade and Credit. This position requires an Associate that is capable of supporting more senior Relationship Managers driving the business and developing complex relationships. The successful candidate should have a proven ability to develop internal and external relationships and have some relevant corporate banking experience. Industrials sector experience is a plus.

In this role, you will:
- Participate in structuring and executing transactions and supporting more senior staff with financial and credit analysis for assigned portfolio of loans within Corporate Banking Relationship Management functional area
- Review and interpret credit policies and procedures and incorporate requirements into credit analysis, observations and lending recommendations
- Represent the bank in developing and maintaining relationships with smaller or less complex clients
- Present recommendations for growing and maintaining a portfolio of profitable clients in assigned market through pro-active, strategic and consistent business development and client retention
- Perform or guide credit underwriting work of peers in accounting for all risk factors and providing risk rating recommendations
- Collaborate and consult with peers, internal partners and stakeholders, including clients
- Support the development and ongoing management of relationships with the most important and financially complex clients
- Initiate and maintain strategic dialogue with clients and prospects to deliver the full suite of WF products and services including, but not limited to credit, capital markets, treasury management, macro solutions, global receivables & trade, and ABF
- Manage direct client interaction, including directing and coordinating execution of transactions with key product partners
- Provide support to leadership on implementing innovative and significant business solutions
- 2+ years of Corporate Banking Relationship Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 2+ years of relevant work experience in portfolio management CIB Portfolio Management experience, including experience with leveraged lending
- Experience within credit underwriting and/or capital market underwriting
- Strong credit, accounting and technical skills
- Demonstrated excellence in working effectively as an individual and as part of a team
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- High level of initiative and accountability
- Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
- Ability to act with integrity, good character and exercise sound judgement
- Registration for FINRA Series 63 (or 66) must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire
- Registration for FINRA Series 79 must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire
- Registration for Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire
- This position is subject to FINRA Background Screening Requirements, including successful completion and clearing of a background check. Internal transfers are subject to compliance with 17 CFR 240.17f-2 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 and FINRA Bylaws, Article III, Section 3, which states that Associated Persons should not be subject to statutory disqualification. Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening and are required to report certain incidents
