Job DescriptionThe Public Relations/Copywriting/Social Media intern works at the intersection of copywriting, public relations, and social media, with opportunities to contribute across branded messaging, editorial voice, digital engagement, and audience development..
Responsibilities:
Copywriting:
Draft compelling copy for press releases, social captions, brand decks, and promotional materials.
Public Relations:
Help draft and distribute press releases and media alerts.
Research media contacts, outlets, and potential collaborators.
Assist in maintaining the media contact database and monitoring press coverage.
Support outreach efforts for campaigns, partnerships, and launches.
Social Media:
Contribute to ideation, scheduling, and publishing of content across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, and other platforms.
Track social media trends and recommend creative content strategies.
Duration: 6 months
Official Start Date: July 2025
This is a virtual and unpaid internship. Yet, you will gain valuable writing experience.
Note: Metro San Francisco, Seattle, Chicago, New York, Miami & Los Angeles residents are strongly encouraged to apply, but location is not required.
Qualifications
Strong writing and editing skills with attention to detail and voice.
Familiarity with AP Style and editorial best practices.
Knowledge of media trends, digital culture, and social media platforms.
A strong interest in branding, storytelling, and strategic communication.
Ability to manage deadlines, take feedback, and work independently.
