The Need
For over 25 years, IJM has pioneered the work to protect vulnerable people from violence. 9 out of 9 times in the last decade, IJM’s Justice System Strengthening Projects have reduced slavery and violence between 50 and 85% for very large populations of people in poverty. As we grow to expand our impact to protect 500 million people from violence, we are seeking a Coordinator, Web Content.

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Web Content Coordinator to manage day-to-day publishing and content updates within our Craft CMS platform. This entry-level role will support blogs, landing pages, campaign content, and global web needs—ensuring content is well-organized, tagged, and optimized for performance.
The ideal candidate brings a foundation in digital content, understands how CMS tools and tagging work, and is ready to grow their skills in web publishing, content tracking, and digital marketing.
This position is hybrid (onsite Tuesdays & Thursdays) if located in the Washington, DC area or remote for non-local candidates. It reports to the Manager of Digital and UX within Global Marketing and Communications and is only available for candidates with the right to work in the US.
Responsibilities
Web Content Publishing and Maintenance

Upload and format website content, including blogs, landing pages, and campaign updates, using Craft CMS.

Ensure all content is brand-aligned, error-free, and optimized for mobile and desktop.

Coordinate publishing timelines with internal stakeholders and track content updates for accuracy.

Support routine site maintenance, including reviewing for broken links, formatting errors, and outdated materials.
Content Tagging, Tracking & Optimization

Apply metadata, tags, and content categorization within the CMS to support user experience and content organization.

Build and manage UTM tracking links to support campaign measurement and reporting.

Collaborate with analytics and SEO teams to implement on-page optimization and monitor content performance.

Support basic troubleshooting and refinement of tracked content to ensure clean data and user flow.
Content Quality & Accessibility Standards

Use basic HTML/CSS to ensure structure, formatting, and page responsiveness.

Apply accessibility best practices, including alt text, headings, and link structure, to improve inclusivity and

Conduct periodic quality assurance audits to uphold IJM’s publishing standards.

Work alongside product and design teams to implement small enhancements or content layout fixes.
Cross-Team Coordination & Support

Partner with digital, story, and marketing teams to execute campaign content and priority web updates.

Track incoming content requests and manage tasks using shared project management systems.

Support global communications by publishing multilingual or region-specific web content when needed.

Help maintain the integrity of the content calendar and web publishing workflow documentation.
Learning & Continuous Improvement

Stay current with CMS tools, accessibility guidelines, and emerging digital publishing practices.

Demonstrate initiative by proposing content improvements or workflow enhancements.

Participate in trainings and team meetings, contributing to a culture of growth and technical excellence.

Showcase ownership and curiosity as you build web fluency and support IJM’s digital growth goals.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience
-
1–2 years of experience (including internships or freelance work) in digital content, communications, or marketing.
Technical Competencies
-
Proficiency with a content management system (Craft CMS or similar platforms such as WordPress, Drupal, or Sitecore).

Working knowledge of UTM parameters, tagging conventions, and link tracking best practices.

Basic proficiency in HTML/CSS and comfort formatting digital content for clarity and responsiveness.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple content updates and timelines.

Familiarity with on-page SEO and accessibility considerations (e.g., headers, alt text, structured content).

Ability to work independently and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical teammates.

Preferred familiarity with JavaScript or a desire to develop front-end scripting skills.

Experience with Google Analytics 4, Looker, or other web analytics tools.

Experience with task/project management systems such as Jira, Asana, or Trello
Non-Technical Competencies

Mature orthodox Christian faith as defined by the Apostles’ Creed;
