The Need  

For over 25 years, IJM has pioneered the work to protect vulnerable people from violence. 9 out of 9 times in the last decade, IJM’s Justice System Strengthening Projects have reduced slavery and violence between 50 and 85% for very large populations of people in poverty. As we grow to expand our impact to protect 500 million people from violence, we are seeking a Coordinator, Global Content. 

 

The Coordinator, Global Content manages the maintenance, curation and accessibility of content within IJM’s Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems and related platforms. This role ensures efficient workflows and smooth coordination across global teams, from content ideation to archiving. It also supports content creation, strategy and cross-functional collaboration  

 

This position is hybrid (onsite Tuesdays & Thursdays) if located in the Washington, DC area or remote for non-local candidates. It reports to the Manager, Global Content & Story Operations and is only available for candidates with the right to work in the US.   

 

Responsibilities 

 

Networking & Partnership 

  • Build and maintain relationships with content creators and DAM users.   

  • Stay updated on subject consent changes with Regional teams.  

  • Act as the main POC for internal teams on the DAM system.  

  • Serve as the primary contact with the DAM vendor for daily tasks. 

Communication 

  • Distribute regular emails to teams highlighting new content in the DAM.  

  • Manage the DAM and content request inboxes.  

  • Respond promptly to emails, calls and online communications. 

Documentation, Reporting & Data Management 

  • Provide insights on asset usage to inform global content strategies 

Training and Development  

  • Champion the DAM system as IJM’s single source of truth for content, encouraging global adoption and consistent usage.   

  • Deliver onboarding and regular training for new and existing users.  

Clerical and Administration 

  • DAM System Administration: Oversee user management, approve uploads and downloads, and ensure assets are consistently tagged and categorized for optimal discoverability.   

  • Manage the global consent form and pseudonym library.  

  • Coordinate global content gathering projects.  

General tasks   

  • Manage projects within a work management software system.   

  • Follow-up with colleagues on deliverables and project needs. 

 

Qualifications:   

 

Education & Experience  

  • Required Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Library Science or a related field.  

  • 2+ years of experience in digital asset management, global content coordination, project coordination or similar roles.  

  • Experience working with DAM systems and familiarity with taxonomy and metadata standards. 

Technical Competencies  

  • Proficient in using DAM systems and content management platforms.  

  • Strong project management and organizational skills with a focus on process improvement.  

  • High attention to detail.  

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. 

Non-Technical Competencies  

  • Collaborative and service-oriented mindset.  

  • Self-managed.  

  • Adaptable and comfortable working with remote teams in multiple time zones
