The Controls Sales Application Engineer II is critical in providing support both sales and operations teams in order to create and grow Daikin’s service solutions initiatives. This individuals with work with Leadership, Account Managers, and Technicians to ensure that customers’ requirements are met, revenue and profit objectives are achieved, and operational efficiencies are delivered. Location: North Carolina – Remote

What You Will Do:

  • Assist Account Managers in identifying business opportunities and execute sales strategies to win Controls Integrated Service Solutions
  • Partners with the Energy Engineering group to analyze and evaluate operating costs for qualified potential opportunities
  • Assists with onsite building surveys as required for qualified service solution opportunities to further qualify or gather data required for the sales process
  • Assist Account Managers in preparing cost estimates and work scopes for new opportunities 
  • Participates in Business Opportunity Reviews as required for individual opportunity approvals
  • Field verifies existing parts, components, equipment, and measurements as required or needed
  • Field verifies installation practices and operations for quality control
  • Assist in the execution of any field commissioning or startup documentation from installation groups
  • Provides remote assistance to Customers and Daikin technicians such as technical support, diagnostics, schedule, or setpoint changes
  • Provides remote initial diagnostics for technicians and Customer’s with monitoring support with a first look diagnostic, intended to determine a potential mechanical or controls opportunity
  • Provides programming, graphics and web user interface setup, commissioning, and installation assistance as needed with control service and installations
  • Strong collaboration with other business and functional leaders within Daikin including regional and local district managers, sales and application engineers, energy engineers, and project managers
  • Maintain rapport and partnerships with internal and external business partners, including, Subcontractors, Manufacturer's Reps, Equipment Sales Managers, National Accounts team, and Solutions teams to ensure sales objectives are communicated and achieved

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
  • 2-4+ years of related industry experience
  • Tridium Niagara based controls, Lynxspring, or similar open protocol systems and BAS architecture experience (preferred)
  • Excellent initiative and interpersonal communication skills
  • Previous facility management experience (preferred)

The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $74,200 - $120,700 in North Carolina. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
