This role supports both active client engagements and upcoming automation projects. Qualified candidates will be considered for immediate openings as well as future opportunities aligned to system implementations, upgrades, and expansion initiatives.
Overview
This role supports PLC and automation systems. Design, program, and deploy control systems that drive automated material handling operations across distribution and fulfillment environments. This role plays a critical part in ensuring system reliability, throughput, and real-time operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and deploy PLC/HMI/SCADA solutions (Allen-Bradley, Siemens)
- Configure industrial networks (EtherNet/IP, Profinet) and integrate field devices
- Lead commissioning efforts including FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) and SAT (Site Acceptance Testing)
- Integrate control systems with WCS/WES and upstream/downstream systems
- Troubleshoot live production issues and perform root cause analysis
- Support system upgrades, retrofits, and performance optimization initiatives
- Collaborate with mechanical, software, and operations teams during implementation
Requirements
Qualifications
- 3–8+ years in industrial automation or controls engineering
- Hands-on PLC programming and debugging experience
- Strong understanding of material handling systems (conveyors, sorters, ASRS)
- Ability to support on-site commissioning and travel as required
- Experience in high-throughput or 24/7 operations preferred
Location: Remote or based at client sites depending on project requirements.
