Job Description

Roles and responsibilities:

• The candidate will be modifying existing programs in ControlLogix processors. Additional design and programming of new processors will also be required after all changes to current code have been made.

• The candidate will be incorporating RFID into the production line and will modify/replace existing rfid products as required.

• The candidate will create the required entries in the new MES system to allow communication with the line controllers.

Required skill-sets:

• The candidate must be proficient in the use of Rockwell Automation’s ControlLogix processors.

• The candidate must have some experience designing programs from scratch. 

• The candidate must have some experience with rfid applications. 

Specific project, product, or initiative:

• This project requires changes to incorporate required code for a new MES system and remove code used in the existing system.

Qualifications

Duration: Currently 7months, but could be as long as 12 Months, with possible conversion at end of project if headcount allows

Skills/Experience/ Education:

• Four (4) year engineering degree or equivalent experience required BSEE, or BSCS preferred

• 5-7 years’ experience required ( 10 to 15 years’ experience required for non college degreed candidates, no conversion offered)

• Understanding of manufacturing processes 

• Project management experience 

• Industrial controls systems experience 

Skills: 

• Use of common approaches to problem solving (Six Sigma, 7-step, FMEA, FTA, etc.)

• Knowledge of quality procedures and systems (training required once hired) 

• Understanding of statistical process control, process capability, and data analysis

• Computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Project) 

• Understanding of IMS (Preferred) 

• Software experience with the following products: RSSQL, RSLogix5, RSLogix500, RSLogix5000, RSView32

• Overall understanding of HMI applications and Controls System architecture interacts with IT systems
