What you will get to do:

  • Receive/review project and product design requirements from Project Engineering.
  • Complete concept designs and submit to Project Engineering for approval (Initial Design Review).
  • Complete detail design and submit it to Project Engineering for approval and release (Final Design Review). Bill of Materials, Layout and Schematic Drawings; Software Design/Test, Design calculations.
  • Complete project/product documentation and submit it to Project Engineering for approval (documentation review).
  • Demonstrate integrity in all working relationships.
  • Communicate and cooperate with all other departments in the organization.
  • Constantly improve personal skills through training.
  • Constantly improve the organization by innovating and implementing new ideas.
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

What will make you successful:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from a four-year college or university; or equivalent.
  • Good electrical aptitude, familiarity with machine controls and wiring methods.
  • Creativity and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to apply electrical engineering standards and techniques.
  • Ability to design and read electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics.
  • Computer skills, including CAD, word processing and spreadsheets.
  • Ability to write software for PLCs, HMIs, CNCs, Robots, and peripherals.
  • Troubleshooting skills.
  • Willingness to travel on a limited basis as required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Physical Demands
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit; use hands to handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
