Voltage Park is on a mission to make machine learning infrastructure accessible to all, from large enterprises and research universities to seed-stage startups and nonprofits. Providing seamless access to compute with pricing and inventory transparency is the future of access to GPUs, and we are the only cloud provider offering a platform that shows all available GPUs with transparent, market-based pricing, in addition to long-term reserve contracts for our customers.

As part of this effort, we’re in search of a Controller. This is your chance to help build the financial backbone of a high-growth company from the ground up. This is a remote role, but you must be located in the Bay Area, Los Angeles, Seattle, or Chicago area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Audit & Compliance

    • Lead the company through audit readiness, ensuring successful completion of a 2025 audit.

    • Establish internal controls and processes to ensure GAAP compliance.

    • Manage relationships with Big 4 audit partners and tax advisors.

  • Accounting Operations

    • Oversee accounting functions including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, taxation, and benefits compliance.

    • Drive monthly close processes and ensure accuracy, timeliness, and reliability of reporting.

    • Manage external accountants and ensure effective collaboration.

  • Treasury & Financial Systems

    • Implement scalable accounting systems and financial reporting processes using NetSuite, QuickBooks, Rippling, and Ramp.

    • Oversee treasury management to optimize cash flow and capital efficiency.

  • Strategic Insights & Business Partnership

    • Deliver more granular, actionable financial reporting (e.g., P&L by data center, payroll and tax breakdowns).

    • Partner with leadership across Sales (commission-heavy), CX, Marketing, and Operations to align financial processes with business needs.

    • Problem-solve for major company expenses and proactively identify financial risks and opportunities.

  • Team Leadership

    • Grow and mentor a high-performing accounting team

    • Manage our accounting consultants

Requirements
  • CPA with proven start-up finance experience (seed → growth).

  • Experienced with Big 4 audit partners + external accountants.

  • Built/led high-performing finance teams.

  • Operated at companies that went public or scaled rapidly.

  • Scrappy, hands-on, and excited to own the function end-to-end.

Compensation Range: $180K - $220K
