Reporting to the Director of the Solution Delivery Project Management Office (PMO), the Senior Project Manager (Contractor) is accountable for the success of all projects, programs, or portfolios under their supervision. The Senior Project Manager will be primarily responsible for managing a portfolio of complex internal projects and programs and driving their successful delivery. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of program and project management success with exceptional leadership and reporting skills and a deep understanding of delivering results in a fast-paced environment. Requires strong program and project management skills, and proven experience managing key internal customer relationships and program details.
This is a remote-based contract position, with an expected duration of 6 months.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a portfolio of cross-functional, internal projects and programs within the Solution Delivery organization, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
- Identifies and schedules project deliverables, milestones and required tasks, providing early visibility to schedules/milestones that are at risk.
- Manages and updates project plans and schedules for assigned projects and programs.
- Directs and coordinates activities for team members to ensure project progresses on schedule.
- Coordinates customer outreach and scheduling for project initiation and execution.
- Actively manages issues and risks and escalates as required.
- Creates and communicates weekly reporting on program status to executive leadership.
- This is a contract position that runs through 1/31/26 with opportunity for extension.
Required Qualifications:
- College degree and a minimum of 8 – 10 years’ relevant work experience.
- Experience with program management, continuous improvement project implementations.
- Must have a basic understanding of the software implementation life cycle.
- Knowledge of project management methods and processes and demonstrated success in delivering project scope on time and within budget.
- Proven experience managing key internal customer relationships and projects.
- Excellent facilitation, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Strong ability to multi-task, self-motivated, and passionate about quality.
- Ability to analyze and diagnose project and program performance problems and recommend effective corrective actions.
Preferred Skills:
- PMP Certification or equivalent.
Agile and scrum experience is a plus.
- Healthcare industry experience
