Position Overview:
Strongpoint Partners is seeking an experienced Contract IT Project Manager to manage the full project lifecycle for technology initiatives across the Strongpoint portfolio. The IT Project Manager will report to the VP of IT and work alongside the Strongpoint executive team in support of the business objectives of Strongpoint's business units. This role involves managing cross-functional teams, ensuring project timelines, budgets, & deliverables are met, and communicating progress to stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a track record of successful project delivery, and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.

This is a full-time, temporary contract position tentatively anticipated to run through the end of 2025. There is potential for this role to transition into a full-time permanent position at the end of the contract if it's the right mutual fit. It is a great opportunity for a candidate looking to return to work after a career break!

PLEASE NOTE:  This role can be done remotely, and candidates from all US time zones are encouraged to apply; however, preference will be given to those in the greater Chicago area who are able to work on a hybrid schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate, Innovate, and Problem Solve.
  • Collaborate with technical teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Create and maintain project plans, timelines, risk registers, and status reports.
  • Drive alignment across cross-functional teams and ensure accountability for key milestones.
  • Identify and resolve project issues, manage risks, and communicate updates clearly to leadership.
  • Oversee project documentation and ensure compliance with internal standards and governance processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 5+ years of IT project management experience across a variety of domains (infrastructure, applications, security, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of IT systems, enterprise software, networks, and cloud platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Project.
  • PMP or other relevant certification is a plus.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-starter who wants to make an impact.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to inspire and lead collaborative efforts.
  • Adaptable with a forward-thinking mindset.

Pay Transparency Statement:

The anticipated pay range for this position is $35-$50/hour. 

At Strongpoint Partners, our compensation ranges reflect the minimum and maximum base pay for the posted position, applicable to all locations across the US. Within the posted salary range, individual pay is determined by the geographic location, job-related skills, experience, education, and certifications. As this is a temporary contract opportunity, there will be no eligibility for benefits at this time.
