The Contingent Workforce Program Director will ensure maximum optimization of the Vendor Management System (VMS), reporting to the Vice President of Procurement. On a day-to-day basis, the Contingent Workforce Program Director will oversee and be accountable for the successful performance of our Contingent Workforce program and the Suppliers participating in the program as well as building and managing the relationships with the suppliers and global teams. This will include the day-to-day operations, program management, and care of our VMS relationship. As R1 RCM’s contingent labor program continues to grow globally and change, to thrive in this role, you will be flexible in your approach and nimble with execution.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and lead our Contingent Workforce PMO to oversee all contractor work, processes and compliance
- Hire, develop and coach a team
- Help create a shared vision for and implement R1 RCM's Contingent Workforce Strategy
- Communicate efficiently and effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including providing report outs and timely updates as well as proactively addressing potential issues for program performance.
- Work collaboratively with R1's Governance Team and R1 RCM Leaders as well as any outside advisory, to drive the execution of a successful program across all components of procure to pay lifecycle.
- Deliver on program goals and ensure Program and VMS KPI's are met or exceeded.
- Develop, maintain, and implement compliant contingent labor processes to include the selection and usage of independent contractors (ICs).
- Maintain collaborative and positive Relationships with Supplier Community including assisting in updating MSA's and communicating new rate cards, establishing performance metrics and providing insights and support to address quality control issues, including making supplier optimization recommendations and ensuring their success.
- Analyze and report on supplier and program performance metrics including SLAs and KPIs to stakeholder audiences to increase awareness, understanding and adherence/adoption.
- Oversee and facilitate program expansion to include Managed Services (Statement of Work (SOW) module) and adding other global locations.
- Ensure compliance protocol for all R1 and client specific onboarding requirements (including supplier vetting, internal controls review and background checks (domestic and international).
- Establish requirements for strong data strategy, work with VMS provider to build out the right dashboards and reporting strategy.
- Enable cost savings strategy and work with VMS provider to update market rate cards, as well as drive more progressive cost savings strategy around OT usage, process improvement. Report out on cost savings results.
- Work with R1 Technology and VMS Client services team to address and resolve any technology or integration performance issues
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Communication, Finance or similar
- 7+ years of experience in workforce management
- Prior global leadership experience in building and delivering strategic programs for MSP, Contingent Labor, VMS, Recruitment, Labor Fulfillment
- People leadership experience
- Prior experience with Beeline
- Change management experience
- Expertise in managing senior-level communications and relationships
- Ability to handle complex situations and engage with all relevant stakeholders
- Proven track record negotiating with suppliers/vendors
- Strong knowledge of legal and regulatory compliance related to contract labor
