Our content team plays a critical role in shaping how we communicate with our audiences—and now we’re looking for a talented full-time contractor to our Content team as a Content Strategist & Writer to lead the charge in creating compelling, high-impact, and data-driven content for enterprise national to local clients. 


The Senior Content Strategist and Writer is responsible for owning content strategy and writing effective high high-performing content daily for assigned brands and client.

Essential Functions

Be a strategic partner for our clients
Write and edit SEO driven and impactful content
Ownership of strategies and campaigns from start to finish. This includes planning, overseeing execution, optimization, and strategy 
Attend client onboarding meetings to ensure all questions are answered and supporting materials are gathered for a successful start to the client’s campaign
Develop high-quality content that addresses each stage of the buyer persona’s journey
Create and maintain editorial calendars, content playbooks, taxonomies, website and email flows, blog content, ebooks, ad copy, press releases, infographics, and content migration plans for clients
Perform interviews, as needed, to gather critical insights to shape the story and topic
Collaborate with the design team to ensure content is packaged effectively to drive engagement yet consistent with the client’s brand standards
Collaborate with the SEO team to implement SEO best practices into all content deliverables 
Ensure all assigned content is completed on time and on budget. Identify any potential impediments to autonomously problem solve or escalate to senior management for help as necessary
Ensure all assigned content is on-brand, consistent in terms of style, quality, and tone of voice
Ensure all assigned content is optimized for search across all digital channels for multiple buyer personas 
Uses all of the company’s business management and communication platforms to keep stakeholders informed, tasks assigned, and projects well managed in accordance with deadlines 
Performs ongoing professional development to keep pace with changes and trends within the digital marketing industry 
Performs other duties as assigned by management


Required Skills

6+ years' content strategy and writing experience
Proficiency in the Google Workspace suite of products and Project systems

Enterprise multi-location franchise client experience
Strong writing and editorial skills, including a mastery of the English language, spelling, and grammar
Experience working collaboratively across digital teams, including account managers, SEO professionals, and operations
Ability to work on multiple projects and subjects simultaneously and juggle priorities
Knowledge of SEO as it pertains to content production and optimization
Sound content research and fact-checking capabilities
Motivated, self-starter who can work independently and take ownership of their work and their accounts in a deadline-driven environment
Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in written form
