We believe that our work is instrumental to the widespread adoption of AI.

We obsess over what we build. Each one of us is responsible for contributing to increasing the capabilities of our models and the value they drive for our customers. We like to work hard and move fast to do what’s best for our customers.

As a Content Policy Specialist, you will:
  • Draft, review, edit, and maintain safety content policies and guidelines, ensuring they are comprehensive and easily understandable for all team members (including safety modeling team and annotators).

  • Utilize documentation to track policy drafting, updates, and emerging needs, keeping a detailed record of the policy lifecycle.

  • Maintain and update the policy hub, both internally and externally, making Cohere’s policies accessible and easily navigable.

  • Develop multi-modal content policies, including focusing on violence, image-based abuse, and CSEA/CSAM, to address potential risks and challenges of high-harm areas first.

  • Review and label some examples of potentially harmful content in order to develop or refine policies and harm definitions.

You may be a good fit if:
  • You have experience working on LLM content policy.

  • You understand the diverse range of potential LLM safety risks, especially those relevant to an enterprise LLM, and can translate them into concrete internal guidelines.

  • You have strong research and writing skills and can maintain and organize extensive documentation.

  • You are passionate about Safety and have previous experience in Trust & Safety / Content Policy / AI Safety.

  • You have experience in content policy and/or AI safety in various geographic regions, including Europe, Middle East, East Asia.

  • You enjoy collaborating with researchers, ML practitioners, and product managers.

  • You are a self-starter and can work well independently with a distributed team.

If some of the above doesn’t line up perfectly with your experience, we still encourage you to apply! If you want to work really hard on a glorious mission with teammates that want the same thing, Cohere is the place for you.

We value and celebrate diversity and strive to create an inclusive work environment for all. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and are committed to providing equal opportunities.
