Manager, Content Marketing

SUMMARY:

The Manager of Content Marketing executes, communicates, and coordinates all marketing programs within Motion. This role develops and deploys strategies to leverage content for adaptation and use in various mediums. This role monitors and tracks program effectiveness and applies best practice methodologies to program development and execution. The Manager of Content Marketing brainstorms with team members across the organization, and develops and creates content and campaigns as required including blogs, social media posts, site content, sales collateral, whitepapers, infographics, sales presentations, webinar presentations, landing pages and more. This position must be comfortable with shifting focus between projects while meeting all deadlines.

JOB DUTIES

  • Responsible for overall content creation and management while leading team members through the completion of initiatives.
  • Employs creativity that contributes to innovative programs and campaigns to help sellers, prospects, and customers understand and grow wallet share of Motion products and services.
  • Communicates and collaborates directly with senior leadership and stakeholders across the company.
  • Builds and leads marketing programs to support specific marketing objectives in support of the overall Motion strategic marketing plan.
  • Works to establish Motion as an industry thought leader.
  • Aligns the organization internally around the brand and marketing objectives.
  • Understands the business value that Motion provides and develops clear messaging around it for each core value.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or Management with three (3) to five (5) years’ experience or an equivalent combination.

  • Ability to effectively communicate in a clear, transparent and concise manner across all levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to break down corporate and departmental barriers in order to pave new paths.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and able to influence change.
  • Organized with strong time management and project management skills.
  • Agile, self-starter, critical thinker, and problem-solver who thrives in a rapidly chaining high growth environment.
  • Comfort in completing multiple tasks with accuracy, shifting from one to another with frequent interruptions and competing deadlines.
  • Willingness to innovate.
  • Ability to work well independently and cross-functionally with other teams (sales, marketing, operations, engineering, etc.).
  • Ability to aggregate and leverage the collective intelligence across multiple teams.
  • Experience with digital platforms (blogs, website updates, email and landing page copy creation).
