Role Overview

We are seeking a Content Marketing Manager to support a variety of products and audiences.

Our ideal candidate will possess expertise in content marketing and SEO strategies in the direct-to-consumer space and have experience working in close collaboration with marketing audience strategy, SEO, and product teams.

Reporting to the Director of Creative & Content, the Content Marketing Manager should have experience in all facets of content strategy and writing for SEO and audience engagement. This person should bring audience obsession for creating motivating and relevant content, intellectual curiosity to challenge status quo with new marketing practices, and a track record of delivering superior results.

What you’ll do:

  • Manage and execute full-funnel content marketing strategies that engage our audience, enhance SEO, and align with the brand’s unique voice.

  • In coordination with audience strategy teams, develop content strategies and consumer journeys to acquire audiences in our growth businesses for Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplemental, Individual & Family, Small Business and Multicultural.

  • Lead all stages of content creation including drafting clear and engaging content for our website, blog articles, and other digital properties, assisting product with maintaining dynamic copy, and managing filings with legal/compliance.

  • Partner with marketing audience strategy, SEO, and product teams on user journeys and targeted keywords for content opportunities and improvements across each stage of the journey.

  • Define key metrics and monitor the performance of web content using analytics tools to track KPIs such as traffic, engagement, time on page, bounce rate, and conversion rates.

  • Use quantitative and qualitative insights to refine content strategies and drive continuous improvement.

  • Gather customer data from internal data and audience teams to map out content strategies by audience segment.

  • Partner with SEO to ensure keyword strategies and SEO elements (title tags, meta descriptions, etc.) are incorporated into content development and optimization.

  • Partner with social, email, and media teams to develop cohesive strategies and messaging across channels.

  • Collaborate with audience, SEO, and social teams to develop and maintain content plan / calendar and regularly provide progress updates.

  • Research competitors to identify content opportunities and trends to keep our brand ahead of the curve.

  • Identify and manage content tools and vendors.

  • Demonstrate eHealth’s values in your behaviors, practices, and decisions.

Who you are:

  • You have a bachelor’s degree.

  • You have 5+ years of experience managing large scale content strategies and plans with a demonstrable track record of success.

  • You will have hands-on experience with content management systems, such as WordPress.

  • You have experience with Conductor and Frase.io a plus (or similar content and SEO tools).

  • You have advanced writing and editing skills, with an ability to adapt tone and style to different audiences and use cases.

  • You have experience writing long and short form content for the web.

  • You have experience collaborating with SEO, UX, and product teams.

The base pay range reflects the anticipated pay range for this position. The actual base pay offered will depend on various factors including individual skills, experience, performance, qualifications, the department budget, and the location where work is performed. Base pay is one component of eHealth’s total rewards package, which also includes an annual performance bonus, plus an array of benefits designed to support employees’ personal and professional wellness.
