As a Risk Investments Oversight Analyst, you'll work with the risk team to monitor strategic investments and new co-brand initiatives, generating thoughtful analytics and recommendations to risk and business executives regarding strategy, performance, and alignment with risk appetite, ensuring consistency with initial investment expectations.
Job Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain periodic monitoring to provide management with comprehensive insights into emerging trends and the performance of strategic investments and co-brand initiatives.
  • Attain a detailed understanding of key performance metrics and profitability drivers for strategic investments and co-brand partnerships, enabling the delivery of actionable insights across the investment lifecycle.
  • Acquire a strong understanding of the practices and strategies of the investee companies, in order to provide context to executives.
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses and support risk executives with relevant information for their participation in discussions related to strategic investments and co-brand initiatives.
  • Work effectively as an individual contributor and collaborative team member on simultaneous projects.
  • Work well in a team environment, including cross-functional teams

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • BA or BS degree
  • Background in statistics, econometric, or other quantitative field required
  • Ability to query large amounts of data and transform the raw data into actionable management information
  • Familiarity with risk analytic techniques
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong written and oral communication skills

Our Consumer & Community Banking division serves our Chase customers through a range of financial services, including personal banking, credit cards, mortgages, auto financing, investment advice, small business loans and payment processing. Risk Management helps the firm understand, manage and anticipate risks in a constantly changing environment. The work covers areas such as evaluating country-specific risk, understanding regulatory changes and determining credit worthiness. Risk Management provides independent oversight and maintains an effective control environment.
