In this role, you'll drive innovation in research strategy and financial reporting, focusing on liquidity and interest rate risk. Reporting directly to the Consumer and Community Banking Treasurer, you'll craft a strategic vision and roadmap, delivering tangible benefits to Consumer and Community Banking and Treasury and Chief Investment Office.
As the Managing Director, Consumer and Community Banking (CCB) Treasury Deposits Lead at JPMorgan Chase, you will oversee the balance sheet management of a $1 trillion retail deposit portfolio, focusing on liquidity and interest rate risk. This role requires a seasoned executive capable of navigating a large organization to drive results and impact. You will lead a team of experienced professionals, collaborating with a wide range of partners to deliver on your vision. Key stakeholders include the heads of the line of businesses, Treasury, and Finance, and so the role requires excellent executive communication skills. Your vision and expertise will be instrumental in shaping the future of our balance sheet.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Develop a strategic vision and roadmap for the future state of CCB Treasury Deposits.
  • Oversee the team's work on valuation and pricing, liquidity modeling, FTP analytics, allocation, forecasting, and peer bank balance sheet analytics.
  • Drive the research agenda around retail industry deposits, customer analytics, market share, and other retail deposit themes, along with the associated data and platform strategy.
  • Partner effectively with Finance, Treasury, Risk, and other stakeholders.
  • Lead senior-level discussions and produce executive-level materials to communicate the team's work.
  • Manage a team of experienced professionals.
  • Lead and develop training programs to upskill the organization around deposits and treasury concepts.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:
  • 15+ years of experience in Treasury or the finance/banking industry.
  • Proven ability to deliver results in a large and networked organization, navigating across various groups at JPMorgan Chase (Treasury/Chief Investment Office, Corporate and Line of Business Finance, Risk, Product and other business stakeholders, Tech, Data, etc.) - building relationships, understanding user needs, generating buy-in, and executing against priorities.
  • Intellectual leader with the technical depth needed to hire and guide quants for balance forecasting, pricing optimization, valuation, and novel analytics, while guiding data and platform strategy.
  • Strong, clear, and concise written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare executive-level presentations for internal and external audiences.
  • End-user focused, with a commitment to designing analytics and reporting that meet stakeholder needs.
  • Seasoned organizational leader capable of developing a vision and building and leading a team of experienced professionals.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:
  • Deep knowledge of retail deposits, macroeconomics, rates, interest rate risk, Fed balance sheet, bank balance sheet regulations, and corporate finance.
  • Planning & Analysis experience, with the ability to explain complex topics simply and keep track of a wide range of forecasts and sensitivities.
  • Technically focused advanced degree.
