Position Title: Consultant, Strategic Finance 

Location: 1 W Elm Street, Suite 200, Conshohocken, PA 19428

Hours: 40 hours per week

Telecommuting: 100% Telecommuting is permitted from any location in the U.S. At most 10% domestic travel required.

JOB DUTIES: Spearhead the identification and evaluation of potential strategic investments, leveraging both internal networks and problem-solving frameworks to uncover new opportunities for the company's growth. Employ a proactive approach to assess and propose high-potential initiatives that align with the company's strategic objectives. Take an active role in shaping the company's M&A strategy by conducting in-depth analyses to identify market and product gaps, as well as adjacent opportunities for expansion. Collaborate with key stakeholders to assess market dynamics, competitive landscapes, and emerging trends, providing valuable insights to inform strategic decision-making. Drive the financial evaluation of potential partnerships/targets including the use of DCF (discounted cash flow), comparable company analysis, and precedent transactions. Act as a leader in the due diligence process, orchestrating cross-functional efforts to gather and analyze critical information, aligning on the go-forward strategy, and driving buy-in on financial commitments. Take charge of the planning process, driving collaboration and alignment across departments to set annual and long-range financial targets. Play a pivotal role in translating corporate strategy into actionable financial plans, ensuring alignment with key performance metrics and growth initiatives. Leverage technology and identify process enhancements to drive scalability and improve effectiveness in the work that we do. Act as a primary liaison between the Strategic Finance team and executive leadership, facilitating open dialogue and debate on key initiatives, financial priorities, and performance metrics. Engage with leadership to articulate financial concepts, challenge assumptions, and drive consensus on critical decisions. Act as a trusted advisor, offering expert analysis and recommendations to optimize financial performance and drive sustainable growth. Craft a compelling narrative tailored to different investor audiences, showcasing the company's value proposition and growth potential. Leverage strategic messaging and market insights to effectively communicate the company's story and drive investor interest and engagement. 

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered, Private Equity Analyst, Investment Banking Analyst, Equity Research Analyst, Financial Consultant, Strategic Finance Analyst, or related occupation.

Applicants must have three (3) years of experience with:

  • Analyzing financial statements, assessing financial performance, and identifying trends and insights; building financial models to support strategic decision-making, forecasting, and scenario analysis; conducting data analysis using Excel features; valuation techniques and valuation methods including discounted cash flow, comparable company analysis, and precedent transactions analysis; and using platforms including Pitchbook, Bloomberg, FactSet, and CapIQ to access financial data.

Applicants must also have demonstrated experience with: 

  • GAAP financial reporting standards and accounting principles; capital structure, cost of capital, and capital budgeting; and SaaS industry key performance indicators and benchmarks (New ACV, ARR, Gross and Net Retention Rates).
