About the job

Life360 is embarking on significant website redesign work that will involve combining our two brands (Life360 and Tile) into a single website (Life360.com) that will be the destination for all of our offerings. We are looking for a Consultant - Design Technologist to play an active role in the design development and front-end execution of this new web experience.

As a Design Technologist on this project, you will work closely with our internal team of designers, developers, and stakeholders to make this project a success. This is a 3-month contractor position, with the possibility of extension.

What You’ll Do

  • Be a core contributor to a redesign that will involve combining the life360.com and tile.com websites into a single, unified web experience
  • Collaborate with our designers, developers, and stakeholders throughout the design, development, and launch process
  • Bridge the gap between Figma designs and production-ready web pages, actively contributing to both
  • Develop responsive layouts that scale across desktop, tablet, and mobile
  • Prototype flows, concepts, and interactions
  • Write front-end code that is clean and functionally sound
  • Be flexible and willing to jump in wherever needed throughout the design and development process to ensure the project is successfully executed

What We're Looking For

  • What excites you most is making web experiences that really come to life through delightful animation, interactions, and flows
  • Experience designing modern, responsive web experiences that include ecommerce / purchase flows
  • A strong design portfolio of relevant work
  • A deep understanding of systems thinking; you see how all the parts fit together and how small changes cascade throughout the system
  • Strong knowledge of web best practices across both Design and Engineering
  • You love collaborating and you are able to take ownership when needed
  • You thrive in a highly iterative process that involves listening, adapting, moving fast, and incorporating feedback along the way

Mastery of HTML & CSS and thorough knowledge of a JS framework, like React—as well as CSS frameworks like Tailwind, and libraries like Framer Motion

  • A passion for creating delightful details (such as micro-animations and interactions) and an understanding of how to implement them appropriately
  • Proficiency in common design tools such as Figma
