Your Impact
The primary purpose of this role is to successfully deliver a portfolio of engineering and construction projects within a functional area of the Director's overall portfolio. The role will lead and direct a functional area, providing guidance to Site Development Managers and Project managers to ensure project results are achieved. This includes interfacing with other business units, managing project intake, project assignments, and consolidated reporting for a specific functional area. The role will also be responsible for project execution.
What You Will Do
  • Manages a complex portfolio of development projects within the Director's overall portfolio, including new and existing facilities in support of a strategic program or functional area
  • Manage intake of projects and assignments to ensure a balanced workload
  • Manage annual budget
  • Manage internal governance, guidelines, and processes for project approval and execution for a portfolio of projects
  • Provides necessary guidance and support to managed team to maintain prioritization within a functional area for the overall portfolio of projects
  • Provides necessary leadership, guidance and support to managed team to ensure project success within a functional area
  • Leads collaboration efforts with key stakeholders and other business units within a functional area involving engineering and construction projects
  • Create and maintain positive relationships with internal business units by proactively assessing needs, identifying opportunities, and problem solving
  • Provides consolidated updates and reporting within a functional area with the ability to identify risks to overall success and proactively resolve them
  • Works closely with leader to set goals and provide open feedback and coaching to drive performance improvement
  • Participate in strategic business planning
  • Carries out project responsibilities of Site Development Manager and Project Manager for engineering and construction projects within a functional area
  • Exhibits effective verbal and written communication skills across a diverse audience
  • Specialized knowledge building systems for data centers (Retrofit & Maintenance role only)

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree Architectural, Civil, Structural, or PME Engineering or related field or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement, if applicable
  • Master's degree Engineering Construction Management or related field or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement, if applicable
  • 10 years Experience with CAD software.
  • 5 Years Five years or more experience managing design and construction consultants / external vendors.
  • 10 Years Experience working cross-functionally

Preferred Skills/Education
  • 7 Years Experience in real estate development.
  • Professional Engineering certificate
  • LEED certification
