CSCI is seeking a highly skilled Compliance Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support enterprise-wide IT and financial management initiatives through meeting facilitation, stakeholder coordination, documentation development, audit readiness support, and compliance assessments. This role combines project coordination, technical writing, internal controls analysis, and enterprise architecture documentation to ensure adherence to federal standards, enhance process improvement efforts, and support audit events. The position demands strong organizational skills, a working knowledge of federal IT compliance frameworks (e.g., Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF), SSAE-18), and the ability to translate complex technical and policy requirements into clear, actionable deliverables for diverse stakeholders.
Responsibilities- Facilitate meetings, workshops, and working sessions for requirements gathering and data collection
- Coordinate logistics for meetings, including scheduling, materials, and virtual conferencing setup
- Draft meeting minutes, track action items, and develop stakeholder-ready presentations and documentation
- Provide technical writing, formatting, and editorial support for a range of documents
- Develop accessible guidance materials for stakeholders unfamiliar with workforce analysis
- Support iterative requirements development to align with mission objectives
- Collaborate with engineering teams to demonstrate and document security compliance
- Ensure adherence to federal financial management regulations and policies
- Assist with compliance to Department of Defense (DoD)/ Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) security standards (e.g., DISA STIGs, ACAS/Nessus, Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP))
- Compile technical documentation for applications, infrastructure, and internal audits
- Support audit readiness efforts by evaluating internal controls and gathering audit documentation
- Provide analysis and advisement on compliance with laws, regulations, and standards
- Respond to audit and internal review findings with corrective actions and documentation
- Develop and maintain enterprise services aligned with program implementation needs
- Provide technical expertise in SOA, WOA, cloud computing, and architectural standards
- Create DoDAF-compliant architecture documentation for data, applications, and assets
- Track and manage documentation workflows, approvals, and reporting deliverables
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives with SMEs and IT stakeholders
- Support performance metrics tracking across business and IT architecture domains
- Analyze and improve enterprise application inventories and associated documentation
- Active DoD security clearance (Secret or higher)
- A minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience in compliance, audit, or a related functional area
- Demonstrated experience supporting DoD or Federal Oracle Shared Service Providers
- Hands-on experience with Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) R12.2 or higher (e.g., Defense Agencies Initiative (DAI) system)
- Strong understanding of federal financial management, audit readiness, security compliance, and internal controls
- Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment
- Ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently
- Strong customer and vendor relationship skills
- Demonstrated ability to comply with data standards and policies
- Motivation to learn new technologies and methodologies that demonstrate value
- Past experience working with a federal agency
- Department of Defense experience is a plus!
