The Community Engagement Manager will create videos and social posts, engage with local businesses, manage partnerships, and host events to connect with the Charlotte business community.
Job Summary & Responsibilities
- Create dynamic, high-quality videos and social posts tailored for LinkedIn and Instagram
- Collaborate with the paid social media team to identify top-performing content and boost visibility for key campaigns
- Tag local businesses, brands, and business leaders and engage thoughtfully with followers across all platforms
- Partner with Charlotte-area influencers and organizations to amplify the brand’s presence and reach
- Manage trade agreements and community partnerships that strengthen audience relationships and drive engagement
- Plan and host one audience event per month to connect in person with Charlotte’s business community and increase newsletter subscriptions
- Have 2–3 years of experience in community engagement, social media management, journalism or a related field
- Love creating video content and feel comfortable on camera
- Understand business news and how to communicate it with clarity and energy
- Know how to use established and emerging social platforms to reach and engage professional audiences
- Are familiar with online design and video editing tools (like Canva, CapCut, or Adobe Creative Suite)
- Have excellent writing and communication skills
- Enjoy organizing events that bring people together and create buzz
- Use audience data and engagement metrics to shape and improve your content strategy
