You’ll lead the day-to-day execution of our PR program, owning media outreach, crafting pitches, securing coverage, and building relationships that elevate InfluxData’s presence in the time series data space. You’ll help drive our thought leadership engine, turning technical innovations and product launches into timely, strategic narratives that resonate across the developer, business, and investor communities.

You’ll also support our analyst relations and social media programs, ensuring cohesive, high-impact messaging across every external touchpoint. From product communications to market commentary, you'll help shape the voice of InfluxData and contribute directly to its brand momentum.

The application window will be open until at least September 5, 2025. This opportunity will remain online based on business needs which may be before or after the specified date.

What you'll be doing:
  • Own the day-to-day management of InfluxData’s PR program, including developing story angles, managing media outreach, and securing coverage

  • Support strategic comms initiatives around product launches, customer and partner announcements, and executive visibility

  • Develop press releases, articles, pitches, Q&As, and other strategic assets for media coverage

  • Collaborate with internal teams (Product, Marketing, Developer Relations, and Executive Leadership) to uncover newsworthy stories and surface technical narratives

  • Track media trends and reporter interests across time series, open source, AI, IIoT/IoT, and cloud-native infrastructure

  • Support the analyst relations program by coordinating briefings, tracking inquiries, and helping shape strategic messaging

  • Assist with social media planning and execution, ensuring message alignment and amplification of key launches and moments

What we're looking for:
  • 4+ years of experience in product communications, ideally with agency experience

  • Demonstrated success in running PR programs for data management companies, particularly those targeting developers or technical decision-makers

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical topics into compelling narratives for media, analysts, and customers

  • Understanding of today’s media landscape and ability to see the big picture and connect the dots from the technical details to target audiences, including tech/business leaders, software developers, and investors

  • Skills to gather, synthesize, and analyze technical information into compelling narratives that resonate with target audiences

  • Collaborative, proactive, and resourceful—someone who takes initiative and follows through
