Our traders provide liquidity to the market through their market-making activities and are the masters of a diverse set of commodities, interest rates, exchange-traded funds (ETF), and equity index options. Traders partner with our technologists to continually engineer and optimize our trading systems to stay on top of the industry. 

Belvedere Trading seeks a strategic leader to enhance our trading within various commodities. This hands-on role involves partnering with trading desks to solve trading challenges, optimize systems, and foster trader education in a dynamic environment. 

The Commodities Trading Director analyzes trading metrics including volume shares, portfolio breakdowns, and other internal metrics. Regular reviews with each desk will drive system improvements, address needs, and promote best practices in electronic trading strategies.

What you'll do

  • Responsible for driving revenue for the products under their trading groups. 
  • Develop and manage the trading strategy tailored for agricultural and softs markets. 
  • Oversee your desk's position, risk and capital management. 
  • Lead & coach your team to make decisions throughout the day to achieve target results. 
  • Stay up to date on trading systems changes and ensure systems are used optimally by your teams 
  • Implement ideas to optimize desk performance and contribute to P&L growth. 
  • Drive efforts to increase market share and trade volume through trader education, feedback, and enhanced system use. 
  • Collaborate with trading automation teams to investigate trades, analyze system behaviors, and recommend improvements. 
  • Utilize data and analytics to identify trends and improvement opportunities. 

What you'll need

  • 5+ years of trading experience, specifically in options market making
  • Experience building, leading and managing high performing teams  
  • Exceptional communication skills with an ability to convey ideas clearly and effectively across all levels of the organization. 
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills; entrepreneurial approach to problem-solving. 
  • A motivated, adaptable team player ready to thrive in a fast-paced trading environment.
