Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement pricing strategies that align with the business goals, value proposition, and competitive positioning of products or services. Working collaboratively with Business GM’s and Product Managers use different methods and techniques to set and monitor prices across a range of product portfolios.
- Develop recommendations on price target revisions, maintain a database of targets quarterly or as market conditions require.
- Provide analysis and collaborate with field sales team to support pricing strategy for commercial deals in both a private and public setting which maximize price/margin/market share.
- Facilitate the pricing escalation process. Challenge conventional thinking and historical deal theory and strategy
- Partner with product P&Ls to support introduction of new products and promotions into quoting/pricing tools.
- Measure price index and margin realization quarterly and make recommendations to course correct if required. Report on ongoing market share position quarterly.
- Provide ongoing maintenance of existing price lists and product portfolios in Salesforce/Apttus.
- Setup and management of commercial pricing contracts in Salesforce/Apttus.
- Collaborate on the development of new and existing sales enablement tools leading to more robust deal decisions and predictability.
- Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required. Make recommendations to strengthen pricing governance ensuring commercial integrity and protecting customers confidential information.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Finance or Business Administration
- 3+ years experience in Pricing, Marketing, Finance, or related commercial sales.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience with commercial pricing.
- The ideal candidate will be hybrid based out of our office in Mississauga, ON 2 days per week.
- Demonstrated skill to clearly analyze financial proposals, generate clear alternatives and provide strategic negotiation support.
- Demonstrated analytical and statistical problem-solving skills and ability to clearly articulate findings.
- Works proactively and demonstrates flexibility in approach to changing work priorities with strong organization and prioritization skills.
- Excellent verbal and written skills.
- Bilingual in English/French is preferred
