What's the opportunity?
As our Commercial Partnerships Manager, you will drive strategic growth by building and expanding our commercial partnerships. You’ll manage key accounts, identify new business opportunities, and collaborate cross-functionally to deliver value. This role requires strong sales acumen, a global mindset, and a passion for fast-paced environments.
What will I be doing?
- Drive strategic partner acquisition by identifying, evaluating, and securing new high-impact partnerships that align with business objectives.
- Own and grow a portfolio of key partners, deeply understanding their capabilities, aligning mutual goals, and unlocking new opportunities.
- Build, nurture, and lead long-term, value-driven relationships with strategic partners, becoming a trusted advisor and thought partner.
- Expand commercial opportunities within existing partnerships by identifying upsell/cross-sell opportunities and collaborating on joint go-to-market initiatives.
- Represent the company at industry conferences, professional events, and partner meetings to enhance visibility and network with potential partners.
- Develop and execute robust partnership strategies, including performance analysis, forecasting, and iterative improvement plans to ensure mutual success.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, Legal, and Operations teams to ensure seamless execution of partnership initiatives.
What skills do I need?
- 6+ years of experience in partnerships or business development, preferably in high-growth tech environments.
- Proven success building and scaling strategic partnerships that drive measurable business outcomes.
- Strong commercial acumen and experience negotiating and closing complex partnership deals.
- Ability to influence stakeholders across multiple levels, including executive and C-suite, both internally and externally.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and taking ownership—capable of driving initiatives from strategy through execution.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with a customer-centric mindset.
- Experience in the payments, fintech, or financial services sector is a strong advantage.
- Preferred candidates will have an existing network and established relationships with fintech partners across North America.
- Willingness to travel internationally and represent the company across global markets (~ 25% of your time).
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
