Job Summary:

We’re looking for a Commercial Lines Account Manager to support a diverse portfolio of general commercial accounts, primarily in the small to mid‑size market segment.

In this role, you will manage day‑to‑day service needs, deliver thoughtful coverage recommendations, and support retention and growth by ensuring clients receive the right insurance solutions for their business.

Responsibilities:

Coverage & Proposal Management

  • Identify opportunities to broaden or enhance coverage based on client needs.

  • Develop coverage summaries and proposal materials for new and renewal business.

  • Prepare premium finance agreements or carrier financing arrangements when needed.

Policy & Documentation

  • Request loss runs and compile loss history summaries.

  • Maintain COI lists and create certificate templates.

  • Review policies for accuracy and consistency with proposals and applications.

  • Review carrier audits, issue invoices, and follow up on additional premiums or discrepancies.

  • Process policy changes and endorsements for clients and carriers.

Client Communication & Relationship Management

  • Maintain consistent communication with clients, carriers, and internal teams throughout the marketing, renewal, and servicing process.

  • Assist in cross‑selling and rounding out commercial accounts where appropriate.

  • Build and maintain strong, trust‑based client relationships.

  • Consult with clients on coverage considerations and risk‑mitigation approaches.

  • Recommend Acrisure services or solutions that align with client needs.

Data & System Management

  • Maintain accurate, complete client and policy information in agency management systems.

Requirements

  • Active Property & Casualty License required.

  • 5+ years of Commercial P&C experience, preferably handling general commercial accounts within an agency environment.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to read and interpret insurance policies, coverage requirements, contractual documents, and internal workflows.

  • Experience preparing reports, correspondence, and client‑facing documents.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel; strong keyboarding accuracy.

  • Solid analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to adapt to shifting priorities.

  • High attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Reliable, proactive, and able to work effectively under pressure.

  • Professional presence and service‑oriented approach.
