Job Description:At Regions, the Commercial Credit Products Quality Assurance and Improvement Analyst supports the transaction testing program for loans underwritten by Commercial Credit Products to ensure quality and consistency of approval documentation prior to approval submissions.
Primary Responsibilities
Reviews specific components of assigned loan sample groups, including spreading quality, pre-booking covenant accuracy, TPE/MUST identification, and collateral quality
Documents all transaction test results in a detailed line sheet and summarizes issues identified during the transaction test in each testing point category
Serves as a portfolio SOX reports liaison, researching report errors and working directly with underwriters, portfolio managers and team leaders for timely remediation and attestation
Detects thematic issues and identifies opportunities for system improvements and/or additional training
Partners with Process and Performance team when opportunities are identified for supplementary training or process improvement for the group
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance
Three (3) years of commercial credit analysis experience
Skills and Competencies
Ability to research, analyze data, and derive facts
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Strong verbal and written communication skills
- This position may be filled at a higher level depending on the candidate's qualifications and relevant experience.
- In addition to transaction testing responsibilities, this role will serve as a broader analytical and operational support partner for the Credit Products team. The analyst will proactively analyze data across multiple systems and reports to identify trends, systemic issues, and data quality gaps, partnering with stakeholders to drive broader process improvements and prevent recurring errors.
- This role will also assist with external exam requests, including gathering and uploading required credit documentation and coordinating with internal teams to ensure timely responses. The analyst will support remediation efforts by maintaining accurate documentation within systems of record and tracking issue resolution.
- Additionally, this position will support team initiatives and communications by maintaining and updating presentation materials and contributing to ongoing process improvement efforts.

The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.
