The Auto Claims Supervisor will report directly to CA Claims Manager, responsible for management, direction and oversight of assigned Team Lead reports and claim professionals to ensure claims are processed according to department best practices and in compliance with industry and state regulations and policies.
Job Responsibilities
- staff supervision, including hiring, on-boarding and performance management;
- establishing communication protocols and maintaining regular meetings with reports and management
- ensuring uniform and consistent delivery of unit processes and procedures, including positive customer-satisfaction drivers;
- Scheduling, developing and implementation of training and presentations;
- claim file assignment/rotation management;
- oversight of unit claims management system backlogs, activities, diaries, reserves and workflow as well as monitoring of caseloads (including Salesforce and Team Lead Dashboards, Expense Payment Approvals, DOI and customer/social media complaints);
- review, provide feed-back and approval of adjuster correspondence, coverage analysis and claim resolution strategies
- individual performance and professional development and planning for reports and claim professionals;
- maintenance and refinement of key department processing procedures and protocols, including management of internal worksheets for tracking and organization
- analysis of performance-trend data;
- file reviews for compliance with best practices and audit protocols;
- liaison between department and internal/external partners (i.e., compliance, audit, training, litigation management, vendors)
- drive key initiatives and achieve target KPIs as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Subject-matter expertise in line of business, including:- Coverage and policy forms
- Coverage analysis
- Claim resolution strategies
- Litigation Strategy and Management
- Defense counsel/vendor management
- Staff Management and Training
- Three-five years Claims Management experience
- Bachelor's degree required
- Advanced degree or industry designation preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication skills

In accordance with pay transparency laws and regulations, the following good faith compensation range estimate is being provided. The salary range for this position is $120,000 - $140,000 per year. Final compensation will be based on candidate qualifications, geographic location, and other considerations permitted by law.
