As a Sr. Partner Manager, you will play a critical part in creating the best user experiences in the world of Commerce, impacting users across Yahoo properties such as Yahoo Mail and Yahoo Search to Content properties such as Yahoo Life, AOL, Engadget, Autoblog, and others.

This role requires ongoing cross-functional collaboration working closely with business development, operations, engineering, marketplace/policy, legal, and product management teams. The key to success is on-boarding, optimizing, analyzing data, reporting, tracking performance, deal expansion, communication to stakeholders (both internally and externally) as well as general partner support to ensure both parties are driving towards growth. The role’s primary focus is to manage partnerships from the start and drive incremental revenue by recommending and implementing optimization ideas based on collaboration with affiliate and/or performance marketing partners, Yahoo product teams, peers, marketplace analysis, and our internal revenue optimization teams.

 

The Yahoo Commerce team helps bridge advertisers and brands with users by providing a full-funnel experience, targeting users along their purchasing journey from discovery to transaction. Our team focuses on building the right tools and content for users when they need it most. As a Sr. Partner Manager, you will help manage strategic relationships, be a core/feedback loop between internal stakeholders such as Product and Engineering, and external partner stakeholders to ensure that Yahoo is implementing the most innovative solutions for our products, users, and partners. You will work side by side with various Yahoo teams and help contribute to the build of our products.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Drive overall partner success and be responsible for the performance of each partnership in your assigned book of business

  • Be a vertical expert in designated categories, understanding current and future events to help drive the team’s priorities and innovation.

  • Lead day-to-day management of assigned partners and drive deep engagement.

  • Drive collaboration with internal operational/product teams to complete technical onboarding and technical troubleshooting as needed.

  • Lead optimization efforts to drive incremental revenue for both the partner and for Yahoo.

  • Manage all partner communications and business reporting rhythms, including daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly meetings

  • Manage the full project life cycle, from initiation through implementation

  • Comfortable with managing multiple projects with tight deadlines and a sense of urgency

  • Flexible in working with people at all levels and time zones

Basic Skills/Requirements:

  • A proven track record for managing partnerships, especially in the affiliate publisher networks and surrounding platforms.

  • Strong attention to detail, ability to move fast, and eagerness to exceed goals.

  • Strong program management and collaboration skills.

  • Experience managing peer relationships.

  • Strong cross-functional skills, including ability to motivate and influence others (including members of other teams) to meet your business objectives and revenue goals.

  • Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation).

  • Ability to drive and present quarterly business reviews.

Preferred Skills/Requirements: 

  • Experience in building close “trusted advisor” relationships with external partners.

  • Experience in setting account management strategies and initiatives.

  • Online media/internet expertise preferred or knowledge of the Search or Display advertising industry.

 Experience & Education:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience, including prior experience in partner account management, Online Media, affiliate and performance marketing.

  • Direct experience in Internet search and online advertising a plus

  • BA/BS required.

The compensation for this position ranges from $122,250.00 - $255,000.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience.The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions.
