Information Technology Strategies, Inc. is a government IT solutions provider servicing commercial and government initiative in various parts of the United States. We are currently seeking a COBOL Programmer to work for our company.
Summary:
- Client Agency is Department Logistics Agency.
- Must be able to successfully obtain a Public Trust level clearance (Basic Federal Clearance requirements are U.S. Citizenship, clear criminal history check, no recent or pending bankruptcies).
- Will research and document computer user requirements. Will analyzes objectives and problems identified by analysts and/or designers. Will translate the solutions provided by systems designers into detailed program specifications. Will assist with preparation of documentation for other programmers, users of the system and other support services workers. Will assist with program design activities including definition of data and error message arrangements. Will assist with the modification and documentation of program code to correct errors or to enhance an application’s capabilities. Will assist with the testing of applications; and will assist with the preparation of reports on the status, operation and maintenance of system software applications for use by the customer.
Requirements:
- Must be able to successfully obtain a Public Trust level clearance (Basic Federal Clearance requirements are U.S. Citizenship, clear criminal history check, no recent or pending bankruptcies).
- Must have 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Must have 5+ years of experience in system development with COBOL programing, specifically with scheduling and time and attendance systems.
- Must have 2+ years of experience with assisting with the management, development, testing and maintenance of computer programs to ensure that the application meets the needs of the users of the system.
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
Preferences:
- An ACTIVE U.S. Government SECRET clearance or above.
