In this role, you will:
- Provide expert level guidance on Cloud migration and modernization decisions, standards, and day 2 operational practices.
- Maintain thought leadership role in cloud technology, remaining up to date on offerings of various cloud service providers.
- Responsible for the overall architecture of Hybrid cloud migrations across CT portfolio of apps
- Be an active member of CT Cloud center of excellence to define and govern best practices in Cloud platforms engineering, cloud operations, governance.
- Plan and implement the selection of new cloud services and tools to enable cloud roadmap by conducting proof of concepts.
- Understand Cloud blueprints and reference implementations of cloud products and advice product engineering teams.
- Partner with technology controls and security teams to engineer secure app patterns and ensure all regulatory requirements are met.
- Work with teams to provide guidance on cloud platforms and escalate risks and issues as appropriate.
- Communicate problems and challenges to drive discussions across key stakeholders - product engineering, platform operations, CTO teams, and executives.
- 5+ years of Specialty Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 3 years' experience in delivering large scale distributed applications in Hybrid cloud platforms such as OpenShift Container platform, Azure, and Google Cloud with focus on performance, scale, security, and reliability
- 3+ years' experience in web and desktop applications developed in Java and/ or .NET frameworks
- 2 years' experience in troubleshooting and performance management using Splunk, Prometheus, etc.
- 3 years' experience in Agile development practices and test-driven development
- 2 years' experience with infra-as-code, policy-as-code, etc. with technologies such as Terraform, Sentinel policy frameworks
- 3 years' experience with DevOps and CICD tools such as Jenkins, Urban Code, Harness, and Helm
- Experience in container technologies such as Kubernetes
- Kubernetes, and/or OpenShift Container Platform Certification
