We have a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer open position for professionals interested in developing and implementing large-scale systems management projects for Team Venti’s clients with respect to Microsoft software, focusing on data migration and issue remediation.
Who we are:
We are located in Austin Texas, with an international presence in countries such as Canada, Mexico, USA among others, helping our clients achieve successful business outcomes through smart implementation and support of Microsoft Cloud offerings.
Responsibilities:
Communicate with client technical staff (engineers) to:
- Understand client requirements and specifications
- Identify required system components
- Collaborate with client engineers to select appropriate system solutions to ensure adequate and efficient migration and issue remediation processes and systems
Develop solutions for client systems management projects, such as:
- Identify required hardware and software to satisfy client needs.
- Direct installation and configuration of Windows servers operating system, electronic mail, monitoring and migration tools.
- Test and verify proper operation of changes made to client systems, including verification of interoperability and scalability of system architecture.
- Provide recommendations for Local Area Network (LAN) and firewall changes.
- Document specifications and project implementation reports for clients.
- Train clients with respect to system administration and maintenance.
This is a remote position.
You must be able to work from home, have a quiet workspace, and have a computer and headset in good working order.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Electronics engineering, or related field
- Strong English verbal and written communication skills
- 3+ years of experience in computer systems engineering role or related positions in which required experiences were acquired.
Experience must include:
- Experience installing, configuring, maintaining operating system software (Windows server), electronic mail software (Microsoft Exchange server), communications server software (Microsoft Lync or Skype for business), internet directory services software (Microsoft Active Directory), backup software (Microsoft Data Protection Manager), and local area networks.
- Analytical skills, project management, problem solving, attention to detail.
