Job SummaryBright Vision Technologies is seeking a highly experienced Cloud Infrastructure Engineer – AWS with 10+ years of professional IT and cloud engineering experience, including extensive expertise designing, building, and operating enterprise-scale AWS environments. This is a hands-on senior engineering role responsible for cloud architecture, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), platform automation, security, observability, governance, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of AWS services, Kubernetes, DevOps, cloud security, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) while providing technical leadership across mission-critical cloud initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Architect, deploy, and operate secure, scalable, and highly available AWS cloud environments supporting enterprise production workloads.
- Design multi-account AWS Organizations, landing zones, Service Control Policies (SCPs), centralized logging, governance frameworks, and shared services architectures.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or AWS CDK, following enterprise DevOps and GitOps best practices.
- Design resilient AWS networking architectures, including VPCs, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, VPN, Route 53, Network Load Balancer, and Application Load Balancer.
- Implement enterprise identity and access management using IAM, AWS IAM Identity Center (AWS SSO), permission boundaries, least-privilege access, and secrets management.
- Design, deploy, and operate container platforms using Amazon EKS, ECS, and AWS Fargate, integrating Kubernetes, service mesh technologies, and cloud-native networking.
- Manage AWS data platforms including Amazon RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, S3, Redshift, Glue, EMR, and Kinesis, ensuring scalability, resilience, and performance.
- Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI to automate infrastructure and application deployments.
- Implement enterprise observability solutions using Amazon CloudWatch, AWS X-Ray, OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, and distributed tracing.
- Drive cloud optimization initiatives focused on performance, availability, security, automation, and FinOps-based cost management.
- Design disaster recovery, backup, failover, and business continuity strategies across multi-region AWS deployments.
- Strengthen cloud security using AWS Security Hub, GuardDuty, Inspector, Macie, Config, CloudTrail, AWS KMS, and encryption best practices.
- Develop automation tools and operational scripts using Python, Bash, Go, or PowerShell to improve operational efficiency and incident response.
- Lead architecture reviews, mentor cloud engineers, establish engineering standards, and provide technical leadership across cloud platform initiatives.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 10+ years of professional IT and cloud engineering experience, including 5+ years designing and operating enterprise AWS environments.
- Expert knowledge of AWS core services, including EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFront, Route 53, API Gateway, and CloudFormation.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation.
- Strong experience designing and operating production-scale Amazon EKS, ECS, or Kubernetes environments.
- Proven expertise building CI/CD pipelines and implementing DevOps, GitOps, and Infrastructure Automation practices.
- Strong scripting skills using Python, Bash, and preferably Go or PowerShell.
- Deep understanding of cloud security, IAM, encryption, key management, compliance, and Zero Trust architecture.
- Experience implementing monitoring, observability, logging, alerting, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices.
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, stakeholder management, documentation, and technical leadership skills.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, AWS DevOps Engineer – Professional, or equivalent advanced AWS certifications.
- Experience managing AWS Organizations, Control Tower, enterprise landing zones, and cloud governance at scale.
- Familiarity with service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd), eBPF-based observability, and modern Zero Trust networking principles.
- Experience implementing FinOps, cloud cost optimization, and AWS Well-Architected Framework best practices.
- Experience supporting regulated environments such as HIPAA, PCI-DSS, SOC 2, ISO 27001, or FedRAMP.
- Experience with hybrid cloud or multi-cloud environments integrating AWS with Azure or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
