Key Responsibilities
- Design and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure supporting enterprise-scale data platform operations.
- Develop architecture solutions utilizing VPCs, subnets, routing, security groups, PrivateLink, and other AWS networking services.
- Support high availability, disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity strategies.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code solutions utilizing Terraform and related automation tools.
- Collaborate with cloud engineers, data engineers, and cybersecurity specialists to deliver secure and scalable solutions.
- Support platform modernization, performance optimization, capacity planning, and infrastructure lifecycle management.
- Develop and maintain technical architecture documentation, standards, and operational procedures.
- Participate in architecture reviews, deployment planning, and operational readiness activities.
- Support monitoring, observability, and operational support initiatives across cloud environments.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum seven years of experience supporting cloud infrastructure, systems engineering, or platform operations.
- Minimum five years of experience designing and supporting AWS environments.
- Experience with AWS networking, security, storage, and compute services.
- Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code solutions utilizing Terraform or similar tools.
- Experience supporting highly available and resilient enterprise environments.
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture principles and operational best practices.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate certification.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional certification.
- AWS Advanced Networking certification.
- Experience supporting federal government or highly regulated environments.
- Experience supporting Databricks or large-scale analytics platforms.
- Experience with Kubernetes, EKS, CI/CD pipelines, and DevSecOps practices.
- Familiarity with FedRAMP, FISMA, and NIST security frameworks.
