The Cloud Engineer will serve as a key delivery engineer for our public cloud ecosystem of partners, clients, and service providers. Your role will focus on reviewing the financial operations (FinOps) for clients, preparing customized reporting, building dashboards for chargeback/showback, and helping our clients in their journey to save as much money possible in their cloud journey. You will need to be comfortable working in at least two of the major 3 clouds, AWS, Azure or GCP and understanding the basics of those services to help drive meaningful reports.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Key resource for building out FinOps reporting, dashboards, budgets, anomaly alerting, showback and chargeback models for multiple clients
  • Analyzing cloud usage and finding all cost optimization opportunities
  • Helping to develop cloud policies and best practices for cost management
  • Attending and assisting with FinOps workshops for our enterprise clients
  • Meeting with clients to determine tagging strategies and policies for their cloud environment(s)

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of relevant Engineering & Consulting experience
  • 3+ years of relevant Cloud delivery experience
  • 1+ year supporting FinOps activities within a cloud environment
  • Consulting experience with large-scale cloud environments
  • Capable of communicating and presenting complex information to technical and non-technical stakeholders, both verbally and in written form
  • Knowledge of cloud system engineering principles and considerations
  • Experience understanding cloud architecture, including web, application, VDI and database components
  • General scripting knowledge using PowerShell or Python required
  • Process automation using cloud native tools is a plus

The compensation range indicated in this posting reflects the On-Target Earnings (“OTE”) for this role, which includes a base salary and any applicable target bonus amount. This OTE range may vary based on the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
