Job Summary

The Cloud Solutions Engineer will collaborate with account and sales teams to evaluate customer cloud environments and design solutions that align with business objectives. This role involves strengthening technical relationships with partners, educating sales teams on cloud technologies, and serving as a technical lead and subject matter expert on projects. The engineer will implement and document cloud solutions, develop technical roadmaps for future implementations, and ensure security is integrated into all cloud architectures.

Role Description

  • Collaborating with account teams to understand customer cloud environments through review and evaluation of cloud technologies, consumption, implementations, and processes

  • Designing and proposing cloud solutions that meet customers' business objectives

  • Collaborating with sales teams to drive the solution, including making recommendations and aligning the next steps for a sale

  • Strengthening technical relationships with OEMs, strategic and emerging partners, and key cloud partners

  • Educating sales teams on cloud solution selling and key technologies through various forms of training

  • Conducting product training and positioning for the sales team and customers

  • Implementing and thoroughly documenting cloud solutions and related technologies, including network design, security architecture, governance best practices, and connectivity

  • Serving as the technical lead and subject matter expert on projects and workshops

  • Developing technical roadmaps for future cloud implementations on public cloud platforms

  • Ensuring security is integrated into all cloud solutions

Skill Level Requirements

  • Extensive knowledge of AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platforms - Intermediate

  • The ability to understand and utilize cloud computing technologies, including virtualization, IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS delivery models, to implement and manage scalable cloud solutions - Intermediate

  • The ability to understand and manage various infrastructure components (firewalls, load balancers, hypervisors, storage, monitoring, security) and use orchestration tools to develop comprehensive technical solutions - Intermediate

  • The ability to design, implement, and support multi-tier applications and cloud-based architectures to meet organizational needs - Intermediate

  • Proficient in migrating workloads to the Public Cloud and managing them efficiently - Intermediate

Other Requirements

  • Completed Bachelor’s Degree or relevant work experience required

  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role

  • Ability to travel to SHI, Partner, and Customer Events

The estimated annual pay range for this position is $110,000 - $170,000 which includes a base salary and bonus. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
