In this role, you will contribute to our mission through building strong relationships with surgeons, residents/fellows, distributors, and hospital stakeholders to execute account strategies, maximize portfolio adoption, and support account growth, penetration and revenue recognition. As a Clinical Sales Representative working on the Sales team, you will be empowered through meaningful work and career development to execute coordinated strategies that accelerate growth, protect key accounts, and expand adoption across the market. Please not that we are seeking candidates around the Central North Carolina area.

POSITION OBJECTIVES:

Clinical Expertise & Surgeon Engagement

  • Provide OR support, clinical expertise, and product education for surgeons, HCP & distributors.
  • Lead early adoption efforts by driving surgeon evaluations, first-use conversions, and ongoing in-servicing.
  • Answer questions related to biologics/bone grafting techniques and competitive differentiation.
  • Support VAC submissions, evaluations, and hospital approvals as needed to enable adoption and access.

Account Activation & Growth

  • Prospect and convert new and underpenetrated accounts to expand regional coverage and utilization.
  • Execute account-level strategies to increase adoption and sustained use of the Cerapedics portfolio.
  • Identify early clinical opportunities and communicate insights and barriers to the RSM and Area Director/Area Vice President.
  • Build and maintain strong surgeon relationships to support repeat use, long-term adoption, and account growth.

Collaboration with RSM & Distributors

  • Partner with RSMs on account strategy, targeting, and regional priorities.
  • Support distributors through clinical education, OR presence, and case coverage to increase pull-through and consistency.
  • Ensure all field activities align with regional goals and coordinated commercial execution.

Planning, Reporting & Professional Development

  • Maintain accurate forecasting, call notes, and pipeline tracking in CRM.
  • Participate in business reviews and contribute to account planning discussions.
  • Represent Cerapedics at selected MedEd programs, regional training, and professional meetings.
  • Continuously develop clinical expertise and market knowledge.

Requirements

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong scientific and clinical communication skills.
  • Ability to influence surgeon decision-making and support reproducible adoption of the Cerapedics portfolio.
  • Effective business planning, territory management, and account growth strategy.
  • Strong collaboration skills with RSMs, distributors, and hospital teams.
  • Persistent, adaptable, highly self-directed, and relationship focused.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools.

EDUCATION AND PREFERRED TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, science major preferred.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in spine, biologics, or surgical devices.
  • Demonstrated success in OR support, surgeon engagement, and clinical selling.
  • Strong clinical credibility and confidence working in the OR environment.

  • This position requires the incumbent to regularly utilize written and verbal communication skills, including active listening and speaking clearly and concisely.
  • This position requires the incumbent to experience periods of prolonged sitting and to occasionally stand, walk, carry items, climb, reach, and lift up to 20 lbs.
  • This position requires the incumbent to operate office equipment such as telephones, computers, fax machines, copiers, and to grasp objects utilizing manual dexterity including hand/finger coordination.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: 50% on average but up to 75% at times.

BENEFITS/COMPENSATION (including, but not limited to):

  • Medical, vision, and dental insurance, group life insurance, 401k matching, short- & long-term disability, potential target bonus, paid time off, 11 paid holidays.

SALARY RANGE: $84,000-$105,000

Base Salary: Annually

Target Bonus: Generous Sales Bonus Target
